How to Perform Goblet Squats to Box

Imagine, if you will, the strength of a Greek God combined with the grace and poise of an eagle taking flight. Now imagine how those two seemingly disparate qualities could be embodied in one single movement: The Goblet Squat to Box (GSB).

Picture yourself standing tall at the beginning of this majestic exercise—the weight balanced on your heels and abs tight as can be. Feel your ribs draw down towards your tailbone in order to protect your lower back from any potential over-arching as you prepare for what is about to come next.

Then slowly descend into a squat position, keeping both feet facing forward and knees tracking along with your little toes. All while maintaining good positioning throughout the entire movement – that’s key!

When you reach the bottom, envision pressing outward like an eagle soaring away from its perch with elegance and ease – all still within the proper form. Finally, push yourself back up to starting point again having kept both feet facing forward and spine neutral – feeling every ounce of power erupting through each successful rep until it feels like nothing less than being immortalized by Zeus himself!

Instructions

1. Begin your GSB with a deep breath and prepare to be mesmerized. Feel your abs tighten and ribs pull downward as if you are tucking in your tailbone between your knees to protect your lower back from over-arching.

2. Lower yourself down with the weight in your heels, having both feet facing forward and knees tracking over your little toes. Keep your abs engaged for the entire duration of the movement.

3. When you reach the bottom, think of pressing the weight out in front of you like a majestic eagle taking flight from its perch with grace and poise – all while maintaining good positioning.

4. Finally, push yourself back up to the starting position, keeping your knees facing forward and spine neutral, with all the power of an erupting volcano – but still with weight in your heels. With each successful rep you are one step closer to achieving the strong and powerful physique of a Greek god. Enjoy!
